What to do in Formentera in one day by scooter?
Using our map as a reference, we suggest a one-day scooter route in Formentera, starting from the port of La Savina (1) to the beaches of Illetes (2), then visit the Levante beaches (3) and have lunch in Es Pujols (4). After that, the best is to head to the La Mola mountain (8) and on the way there or back stop at Es Caló (6) and Migjorn (7).
On the way back, you can pass through the main town of San Francisco.
The sunset is a must on the island. The best places to enjoy it are: Es Cap de Barbaria Lighthouse, a beach bar in Migjorn like Lucky, or at Illetes at Beso Beach. .

Excursion to Formentera from Ibiza: should I book in advance?
The main reason to book a Formentera from Ibiza pack is the price. As long as you book in advance, you will get better prices for the ferry and excursions. If you book the same day, the price increase can be up to 20%.
The second reason is availability. If you’re the type to show up and book on the spot, this is not a good idea in Formentera as it’s a small island with limited services.
What to see in Formentera in one day?
Keep in mind that the most beautiful part of Formentera is its beaches and the clarity of its waters, so your options fall into four categories:
1- Beach: If you prefer to visit the main beaches and relax on the sand, the best option is ferry + bike or scooter. This lets you go at your own pace, arrive in Formentera and head straight to the beach (we recommend Illetes if you like trendy spots or Levante if you seek peace and quiet).
2- Sea: If you love the beaches but prefer exploring freely, we recommend the Ferry + License-free Boat option. This lets you visit islands, beaches, and coves on a day at sea, steering the boat yourself safely.
3- Tour: If you want to enjoy the views, the beaches, and swimming, but also have your glass always full, good food, and meet new people without having to worry about anything, then your best choice is the Catamaran tour from Ibiza or the ferry + Catamaran from Formentera option.
4- Adventure: If you’re into adventure, then you must try one of our ferry + activity options. We definitely recommend the ferry + introductory scuba diving experience.
Getting from Ibiza to Formentera with our Ferry + Activity or Vehicle Packs.
Our packs to go from Ibiza to Formentera work like this:
1- They must be booked in advance. Upon booking we will send you an email (or WhatsApp if you prefer) with all the information.
2- The ferry departs from the Port of Ibiza (next to the old town), with flexible schedules via our partner company.
3- On the day of the tour you simply board any ferry from Trasmapi or Formentera Lines using the QR code.
4- If you’ve booked a vehicle, upon arriving at the port of Formentera, go to the indicated office to collect your scooter or bike. All offices are close to the Formentera Maritime Station. Return the vehicle at the same place.
5- If you’ve booked an activity, your booking voucher will indicate the time and meeting point. Activities always depart from the port of La Savina.
6- For the return, you can take any ferry from the same port you arrived at.
How do I pay for excursions from Ibiza?
If paying in full: it’s done online (through the booking calendar).
If paying a percentage: the payment is made as a deposit via credit or debit card and the remaining balance is paid at the office or to the captains of each tour. The balance can be paid in cash or by card (except the catamaran tour, which is cash only).

What happens if the weather is bad on the day of my tour?
Once you have booked a ferry + activity or vehicle pack, you can always reschedule as long as it’s in advance (same-day changes are not possible because bookings are finalized the night before).
Although bad weather is rare in the summer, the Formentera weather forecast is quite reliable about two days in advance. We typically use Windguru. With two days’ notice, there’s no issue with changing the date.
If the tour is canceled due to bad weather and can’t be rescheduled, the money will be refunded.

Catamaran Tour from Ibiza: what’s the difference from the one departing Formentera?
On the Catamaran tour from Ibiza, the boats and services are the same as the tour from Formentera. The only differences are:
1- The tour from Ibiza includes slightly less sailing along the coast of Formentera, since you must factor in the crossing from Ibiza to Formentera (about 1 hour).
2- It includes the same food and drinks, but alcoholic drinks are only included during lunch on the day tour, while on the Sunset tour they are included throughout the entire trip.
One-day trip to Formentera. What to do in Formentera after the tour?
Many of our excursions to Formentera allow you to have the afternoon free. If you’re wondering what to do, here are some musts:
1 – Visit Illetes Beach: whether on foot, by bus or taxi, you can enjoy a swim at the island’s most famous beach.
2- Watch the sunset: a must at beach bars near the port like Cala Duo, Beso Beach, or Quimera.
3- Dine at the port: there are classics like Can Carlitos or Café del Lago at the port. And many more options.
Without a doubt, the Ibiza Catamaran tour is the best option to enjoy with the family and relax.
There are tours from Ibiza to Formentera that have age restrictions. For example:
1- Ferry + bicycle/Ebike packs do not include the option for child seats or kids’ bikes.
2- The diving baptism is for children over 10 years old (depending on the child’s build).
3- The Ferry + Boat option does not allow children under 5 years old.

2- Ferry + Boat: if you’re a bit more adventurous, a great plan is to rent a boat (they have a fridge so you can bring snacks or a bottle of wine) and find a hidden cove where you can be alone, drop anchor, and enjoy swimming. We also recommend exploring Espalmador and the Cala Saona caves (ask for the snorkel gear before departure).
