Formentera does not have an airport. Formentera can only be reached by ferry from Ibiza or Denia. There are also ferry services from Barcelona (some of the schedules stop in Ibiza).
The other option is a Water Taxi, a private boat that makes the journey from port to port. This service is the most expensive and must be booked in advance.

There are 4 options:
1) The L10 bus, which runs every 20′ and takes about 30/40′ to get to the port.
The price is €4 per trip (they generally only accept bills of up to €20 maximum). You don’t need to get this ticket in advance, as you get on the bus in order of arrival.
Stop: when you leave the airport, to the right (it’s indicated).
2) Our private transfer option by van + ferry (book by email to: formenteranatural@gmail.com). The van takes 10 to 15 minutes.
Meeting point: with a sign with your name, in the main hall, after collecting your luggage.
3) By taxi. The price is approximately €20 and the journey takes about 10 to 15 minutes (during the summer months there are usually long queues). Taxis are for a maximum of 4 passengers, and it’s not usual to find options with baby seats.
Stop: at the airport exit, in the central area.
4) By UBER. Since 2024, there is an Uber service from the airport, the price is usually similar or slightly higher than that of a taxi, but in high season it can take quite a while to arrive. Maximum 4 people and it takes 10 to 15 minutes.
Stop: at the airport exit, in the central area.

You can request our private transfer to the port of Ibiza in an exclusive van or bus (usually Mercedes).
This is an excellent option if you are looking for comfort. It is also especially convenient if you are more than 4 people and need two taxis.
The system is very simple, the driver will wait for you at the airport with a sign with your name and from there he takes care of everything.
If you prefer, we can also take care of your transfer from the port of Formentera to your accommodation (in a private Van as well).

If you prefer to pay the extra, you can buy the ticket at the port offices, inside the Ibiza/Formentera Maritime Station. The station is right in the middle of the main port, opposite the McDonald’s to the left.
You can locate it at this Google Maps link:

There are two types of ferry that cross from the port of Ibiza to the port of Formentera:
1- Fast Ferry (the most common): 30 to 35 minutes.
2- Cargo ferry for cars (generally a couple of departures a day): 45 minutes or 1 hour.
* There is always a margin of variation depending on sea conditions.

All ferries arrive at the Port of La Savina. It is the only port on Formentera.
Opposite the arrival point is the Maritime Station, which has an information office and two bars.
Most of the motorcycle and car rentals are in this area. 100 meters from the Formentera Maritime Station.

It will depend on the type of ticket you take: open (open) or with fixed hours.
We always recommend taking open tickets. Please note that some companies have very limited schedules (such as Aquabus). Make sure you have enough margin in case of delays.
In the Transfer + Ferry option, the tickets are open but you must respect the assigned time so as not to miss your return flight.

Tickets are valid for one year. You just have to contact the company at the email that you will receive with the confirmation.
If it is a last minute change, it depends on the company, it is better to go directly to the ticket office and request it in person there.

If you are in Ibiza and want to come to Formentera for the day, at Formentera Natural we have many options, follow this link for more info: ferry + activities.

If you have a group of more than 10 people, you can ask for a special discount for groups. This is done by email to formenteranatural@gmail.com. The tickets will be sent to you with a QR Code so that you can get on the boat directly.
